In fact, the game is set for release for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 25.Īccording to the developers, the concept and development of EDENGATE came about “during the most difficult months of the pandemic,” and that the game is “a representation of the fear, isolation and uncertainty of the future” that the team felt during this time. Those who were able to attend the Tokyo Games Show a few weeks back were able to catch the announcement of indie developer HOOK’s dark narrative adventure game, EDENGATE: The Edge of Life. “We’re very excited to get our game in players’ hands and allow them to experience Scorn for themselves.”

“As we look ahead at the coming months, we will be focusing on completing the final 25% of the content, followed by bug fixing and getting the game ready for the launch,” explains Ljubomir Peklar, Ebb Software CEO. Included with the questions is a storyboarded scene of the player character interacting with one of the biomechanical artefacts in the environment.

The update includes a Q&A with Nikola Milicevic, lead 3D Artist at Ebb Software, who goes through the team’s pipeline in bringing the Giger-esque art of Scorn from concept to 3D. Still, we’re committed to making Scorn the best experience possible for our players and fans.” We know that this means a longer wait, especially for our fantastic Kickstarter community, who have been with us since the very beginning. “This additional time will allow the team to make sure the vision for Scorn comes to life in all its spine-chilling, nightmarish glory. “We want to ensure that Scorn is the best game it can be,” reads the update.
In addition, the developers took to the game’s Kickstarter to elaborate in more detail about the game’s development.
After announcing the game’s delay last month, developer Ebb Software has announced that their long-awaited first-person adventure game Scorn will arrive October 2022 for PC and the Xbox Series.
